AUTHOR-IN-RESIDENCE:

January 24 – February 1 at Echo Park Elementary School, Burnsville, Minnesota.

 

CONFERENCE:

June 22 – 24 Historical Novel Conference, Portland, Oregon.

Young at Heart: Writing YA and Adult Crossover.

Panel Members:  Janet Graber, Loretta Ellsworth, Patrice Kindl.  Moderator: Irene Goodman.

 

WRITING CLASSES:

6 lesson courses continue in my home for writers wishing to dig into the wonderful world of stories for the first time, or those simply wishing to brush up their writing skills.   Whatever the genre, be it historical fiction, contemporary fiction, YA and middle-grade fiction, or picture book writing, each course is specifically designed based on the needs of each individual student.

 

WEEKEND AFTERNOON GET-TOGETHERS:

These meetings are preferably for those having completed a 6 session writing course.   Manuscripts in progress are discussed in a relaxed and nurturing atmosphere.  Nominal fee.  Tea and cookies included!

 

PROFESSIONAL CRITIQUES:

$2.00 per page for a novel length work, typed and double-spaced.

$50.00 per picture book manuscript, typed and double-spaced, up to 1,000 words.

 

TEACHER ALERT:

I am available for workshops, elementary through high school, with a focus on characterization, setting, dialogue and plot, plus large doses of inspiration.
